Autumn School 2026

The first school organized by the EO Council will cover the range of Earth observation, from satellites to instruments, calibration, applications and big geodata. The school will provide a broad background in earth observation, hands-on experience through tutorials, and create a network of early career scientists. The school is aimed at PhD and MSc students working or studying in Netherlands or Belgium (people with other profiles but still based in NL or BE are welcome, other interested parties are asked to contact us through the email below).
The school will have a mix of lectures and hands-on tutorials with lecturers from SRON, KNMI, eScience Center, VU Amsterdam, Univ Utrecht, TU Delft and Open Geohub. There will be an afternoon with pitches by small and medium earth observation businesses followed by networking drinks

Registration fee: 250,- without hotel, 700,- with hotel. The fee includes all meals and snacks during breaks
